30% of travellers want to visit Cannes Film festival in 2009

Thirty percent of travellers is quite a large number of people! In research conducted by insurance group Travel Guard, some 30% of respondents said the event they “would most like to travel to” in 2009 was the Cannes Film Festival, followed by the presidential inauguration of Barrack Obama.

Another interesting tidbit is that the people they “would most like to be stranded with on a Caribbean island” with in 2009 were George Clooney (for women) and Tina Fey (for men). That’s quite a surprising choice given the number of celebrities that were on the list!
