Attendance stable at mipim 2010
Mipim 2010 has kicked off in Cannes. The annual property market suffered a severe drop in attendance last year. Despite promising signs in late 2009, the news is that the figures have not grown significantly. But they have not dropped off either. Nonetheless, the proximity of the finance and property means that many questions are hovering over the event. The situation in the southeast of Europe – notably Greece – will generate a lot of debate. Poland and Russia are very present. Perhaps surprisingly, news about the situation in the UK is also a subject of some concern.
Many of these debates will spill over in real time through Twitter and the blogs. On this point, it’s interesting to note how enthusiastically the UK property sector has adopted Twitter.
