Midem early bird deadline: Nov 30 2012

If you’re involved in music, chances are you probably already know Midem. The annual business fair is probably the word’s n° 1 meeting place for music professionals, held every January in Cannes. But if I have one word of advice for you it is…

Don’t miss Midem’s early bird deadline

November 30 2012 is the cut-off date for benefiting from the latest early bird deadline. This means you can get full access for €690. The walk-in rate in January 2013 is €895 (excluding VAT). That’s a difference of €200 which could cover your food in Cannes.

If you have never attended – or haven’t been for some time – you are probably wondering what you get for your money. Over the years, Midem has become the place where professionals from every sector related to music come to talk about business or trends. Increasingly, the conferences have become central to the event. The sidebars include midemlab, Midem Academy, classical music awards, events for managers and Visionary Monday. The video above gives an idea of what to expect.

Get insights on reaching and engaging music fans from people such as DJ/Producer Paul van Dyk, Patrick Walker, Senior Director EMEA of YouTube Music; Nick Bailey, Executive Creative Director of AKQA Amsterdam; Will Sansom, Writer/Consultant at Contagious Communications; and startup founders Alex White (Next Big Sound) and Rahul Powar (MPME by Appsmart) – who both won midemlab in previous years!

Other deals at Midem

It’s worth remembering, however, that there are other deals for attending Midem 2013. Students and performing artists get a special price. If you are a member of an authors rights society, you might also qualify for a special member rate as well. Check with your rights society. For accommodation, you can already book rooms. Many hotels offer free cancellation if you change your mind. Check the selection of hotels and apartment for Midem 2013.

  1. I know this if off topic but I’m looking into starting my own blog and was wondering what all is needed to get setup? I’m assuming having a blog like yours would cost a pretty penny? I’m not very Internet smart so I’m not 100% sure. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.

  2. I see your blog is on Blogger. Before running under its own name, Cannes or Bust was run on Blogger for well over a year. You can import postings from Blogger into many sites these days. I recommend it.

Have fun, and drop by Cannes some time.

  3. Greetings, I believe your website could be having browser compatibility issues. Whenever I take a look at your site in Safari, it looks fine however when opening in I.E., it has some overlapping issues. I simply wanted to provide you with a quick heads up! Other than that, excellent website!
