The Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity 2013 will take place June 16 – 22 in Cannes. The annual event hosts numerous sessions, programmes, seminars, events and award shows celebrating advertising (mostly) and creativity. Thought-leaders and experts from across the globe come together to inspire, debate and entertain across multiple platforms. It is also where the worldwide advertising industry comes to debate the issues of the day.
Cannes Young Lions Competitions
As part of the festival, the Cannes Young Lions Competitions offer young creatives from around the world an opportunity to compete against each other and showcase their talent at an international level. Winning the competition is a sure-fire way of getting your CV and name on a lot of desktops.
The American magazine USA TODAY is hosting the U.S. Young Lions Competitions to select teams who will represent the country as “Team USA” at the global competition in 2013. The winners walk away with tickets to the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity and the opportunity to to face the most talented and creative young professionals in the world.
In 2013, USA TODAY will administer four Young Lions competitions – Cyber, Film, Media and Print. Each is open to teams of two young professionals employed by an advertising company or agency, or media industry company in the U.S., who are twenty-eight (28) years of age or younger (born after June 22, 1984). The competitions will run from January through May.
