Savvy Cannes participants are looking ahead to the festival, as there are often savings to be made for those that book in advance.
For example, the Film Finance Forum will again take place during the Cannes Film Festival 2014. The forum has become one of the great meeting places for everyone involved in the business side of film-making, notably financiers, producers, sales agents and lawyers. As in previous years, the series of talks and workshops will be hosted at the Intercontinental Carlton Hotel.
Early bird rate of 50%
The Film Finance Forum, produced by Winston Baker and held at different locations around the world during the year, looks at what it takes to make films today: worldwide sales and distribution strategies; emerging film finance resources; applying risk mitigation across borders; co-production opportunities and strategies; subsidies and incentive updates. Until December 31, 2013, you can benefit from a 50% early bird rate on the standard rate of €495. The walk-in rate on the day is €595.
For more details and registration visit the Film Finance website. While you are at it, it might be time to book your Cannes 2014 hotel. At the time of preparing this, 66% of hotel rooms are already booked. Don’t leave it too late.
