Last call for submissions for the Int’l Pan-African film fest 2020

Pan-African film fest 2020

Running since 2004, every year the International Pan-African Film Festival in Cannes provides a showcase for film-makers from the broad African diaspora. Some 5,000 people attend each year to catch some of the very best movies of African origin or inspiration.

The event runs in April each year prior to the Cannes Film festival, with which it has no connection. Submission for the 2020 edition have been open for some time, but will close on December 31, 2019 next. If you know of any African diaspora film-makers, it’s perhaps worth letting them know.

In addition to movies, the festival also boasts an interesting selection of concerts, fashion shows and parties based on African themes. This year’s event will also feature a convention of film-making, creation and beauty. Details will follow closer to the date.
