6 new destinations from Nice airport

Already the second busiest airport in France, the big travel news is that Nice airport will become even busier in 2012. After EasyJet’s announcement of more flights to Nice from March, Air France is now adding more destinations with six extra direct flights to Nice one month later.

The destinations are Tel Aviv, Barcelona, Athens, Naples, Istanbul and Venice, all of which enter into service from April 2012 – just in time for the Cannes Film Festival 2012.

So if you are intending to attend the Film Festival, double check all these possibilities to get the best combination of convenience and price.

  1. Hi Paul, good question. You currently have to fly through Frankfurt or Zurich (cheapest options). Or maybe train to Milan and fly from there? Has anyone ever done this?
