For the hundreds of thousands of movie biz people that could not make it this year, the We Are UK Film people are very generously putting some of their key discussions online. They opened with a £26 million question: a panel discussion on accessing UK film funding with Sue Bruce Smith, Film4, Joe Oppenheimer, BBC FIlms, and Ben Roberts, BFI Film Fund. The video is over an hour long and so might be slow loading.
I won’t be posting them all, so head over to the We Are UK Film site for the complete selection.
One of the key learnings is that Film4 requires that projects go through an agent with a track record – and they get about 200 requests a week! Are there any questions that they missed?
