Cannes Yachting Festival gets new name for 2014

After 36 years of being known as the Festival de Plaisance de Cannes, the annual celebration of all things nautical will take place as the Cannes Yachting Festival in 2014. Between September 9 and 14, the town will again host some of the world’s most remarkable yachts across eight locations in the Old Port and the Pierre Canto Port, which both have undergone renovations over the past year.

A certain number of send-hand boats will also be on sale. The event attracts some 50,000 visitors to one of the Riviera’s most glamorous locations.
