3D workshop at the Festival de Cannes

3D Stereo MEDIA and XpanD are joining forces to sponsor and organize a workshop entitled “3D movie making: from script to business”, under the auspices of the International 3D Society (I3DS). The society’s president, Jim Chabin, will be the host. The workshop will provide information on how to get started in stereoscopic 3D (S-3D), win awards and (according to the blurb) “make money in the process”.

International 3D Festival

The workshop, Cannes’ foremost S-3D gathering this year, will also see the launch of an International 3D Festival and  co-production 3D Film Mart., with Call for Movies and Call for Projects to be made available on the day. The workshop will be followed by a networking reception.

The workshop and networking will be held at the American Pavilion on the Croisette in Cannes, on Thursday 16 May, from 3:00 pm till about 5:00 pm. Seating is one a first-come, first-served basis. There is no fee for attending, but proper Festival accreditation is required to enter the Festival grounds.
