Since 1967, Cannes has been holding major fireworks show. By 1998 it had become one of the two major worldwide festivals, alongside Montreal. Every year, prestigious companies battle it out to provide the city with stunning shows that can be seen from miles around. The curve of the bay and the presence of numerous hills makes Cannes one of the best cities for fireworks.
