Following its 50th edition last year, the Directors’ Fortnight turned a page when it selected its new General Manager, the Italian programmer Paolo Moretti. He will be in Cannes soon to present his selection for the Fortnight, with the possibility of attending (open to all, subject to availability needless to say).
Attending screenings of the Fortnight 2019
Moretti is well-known in international film circles, as he has worked with the festivals of Venice, Rome and Leeds, in addition to other roles at various international cinematheques. In order to share its selection, the fortnight is organizing a pre-sale system at a preferential rate allowing people to attend the screenings in the same rooms and at the same time as the professionals within the limit of the available places.
The 51st Directors Fornight will run from May 15 to 25 , 2019. The Fortnight is open to the general public in the form of ticketing and you can now purchase your tickets:
- 6-session subscriptions or permanent (nominative) passes in the Cannes cinema offices (10am-12am/2pm-4pm) until Friday, May 10 and then at the Directors’ Fortnight presentation on Tuesday, April 30th (Miramar),
- then at the presentation session on Monday, May 13th (Théâtre la Licorne) at the rates : subscription: discounted pre-sale rate €28 permanent pass: single rate €72
- from Tuesday 14 May at the Cannes Cinéphiles tent (Pantiero area) and/or the Malmaison square at the following rates: subscription: full rate €35, reduced rate €28 ( students, -25 years, unemployed, FNAC) permanent pass: single rate €72.
The tickets at the meeting are sold only during the Festival on the square of the Malmaison at the following rates: full rate €8, reduced rate €5 (students, -25 years, unemployed, FNAC).
