Stagelink expands into US following new funding

MIDEMLAB 2016 winner sets ambitious growth plan

Stagelink at MidemlabStagelink, the German startup that won the 2016 Midemlab award for “Marketing, Social Engagement & Monetisation Solutions“, has secured a new round of funding that will see it expand into North America.

Using Stagelink, musicians and other creators can uncover fan demand for potential live appearances to produce successful, risk-free events and tours. As such, it is not unique. Several other companies have also followed the event-crowdfunding path. But few have seen Stagelink’s growth.

Jérôme Delhaye, the then-Director of Entertainment Division at Reed MIDEM, explained why the jury – consisting of high-profile executives from Sony Music Entertainment, Deezer, Venture Beat, Connect Ventures, NUMA and TuneCore – picked Stagelink as the category winner: “Stagelink convinced the jury with a clear focus on a highly attractive market segment and a simple, effective engagement and monetization solution.”

Stagelink in North America

The undisclosed seven-figure funding will be used to establish Stagelink in North America. “Coming to the U.S. is an important step for Stagelink’s growth,” says Stagelink CEO Nikolas Schriefer. “Our analytics and promotion technology is able to predict ticket sales with an accuracy of 90%. So Stagelink offers content creators a risk-free opportunity to organize unforgettable live events for their fans and generates additional revenue through ticket and merchandise sales.”
