Cancelled last year due to the Covid crisis, Cannes Yachting festival 2021 has confirmed its dates: September 7-21.
Traditionally the inaugural event of the nautical season and the largest in-water show in Europe, the Yachting Festival will be one of the first major events to reopen its doors from September 7 to 12, 2021, in Cannes, in the heart of the French Riviera.
From Cannes’ Old Port to the Port Canto and right along the Croisette, the best of the international motor, sailing, mono- or multihull offer will be presented by the biggest names in yachting.
The 2021 edition looks like being a strong one. Nearly 600 boats, 430 exhibitors and more than 140 previews (10% more than in 2019) will be featured! The Old Port will host 450 motorboats from 5 to 45 meters with lots of new boats on offer.
What’s new in 2021?
Visitors can expect:
- More space for motor multihulls with nearly 15 units from 12 to 29 meters
- More space on land for outboard and inboard engines. This means more visibility and comfort for engine manufacturers of small and medium units
- The creation of an area reserved for sea trials outside the exhibition area to facilitate testing while limiting movements inside the port for the benefit of safety,
- A floating space dedicated to electric boats. Not forgetting the Luxury Gallery, a space dedicated to the art of living. This is built around beautiful luxury brands for the pleasure of visitors who are fond of beautiful objects.
At Port Canto, the second edition of the Sailing Area is already looking very promising. Over 100 new boats from 10 to 35 meters, mono- and multihulls, including 20 world launches will be on show. Port Canto will also feature its first section showcasing innovation and yachting start-ups.
