Midemlab contestants 2014
Midem 2014 is being held between February 1 and 4 in Cannes. Each year, music tech startups are invited to showcase new applications and services at the pitch competition Midemlab. This year, 30 finalists have been selected that offer a a range of possibilities across different sectors.
The finalists for Midemlab were selected by Music Ally and bluenove. One winner will be selected from each of three categories. In addition, one finalist will receive the Vivendi Coup de Coeur award, chosen by a “jury of Vivendi and Universal Music Group senior management” and will receive “privileged access to the group’s subsidiaries” (an intriguing if vague possibility).
